Hansika, now Amala Paul slammed for posing with cigarette

A few days ago, Hansika was facing the wrath of moralists for smoking in the poster of her upcoming film ‘Maha’. A case was slapped against the film's director UR Jameel and the actress by a member of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) named Janakiraman.

Now, actress Amala Paul is at the receiving end of a similar backlash. Amala recently shared few pictures on Instagram in which she is seen smoking a cigarette. Though many fans called the pictures 'hot' and 'kick-ass', Amala was trolled by many other followers, who slammed her for promoting smoking.

Moralists were quick to shame her and claimed that she would influence many of her fans to smoke.
However, in the caption, Amala Paul stated that she is not trying to promote smoking. She wrote, "This is not me advocating smoking, this is me living my Hollywood fangirl dreams. Every star has an iconic smoking shot, and here's mine! (sic)"
